Shaker Run Golf Club
Shaker Run Golf Club is one of the best public golf courses in Ohio. Shaker Run is located just 30 minutes north of Cincinnati, and 20 minutes south of Dayton in the quaint city of Lebanon, Ohio.
Shaker Run features a 27-hole championship golf course. The original two nines of Lakeside and Woodlands were designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1979. The third nine, Meadows, was added in 1999. The course offers bentgrass fairways, tees and greens, and has water hazards that come into play on 14 holes, plus a full service range with practice area. Our fully stocked Pro Shop is designed to meet all golfers' equipment needs.
Recognized by Golf Digest as the #2 Public Golf Course in Ohio, Shaker Run has hosted many notable golf events including the Kroger Senior Tournament Qualifier, Nike Miami Valley Tournament, The 1988 Ohio Amateur Championship and The 2005 US Amateur Public Links Championship.

This course is definatly worth the money. All three courses are excellent. I personally likethis one the most even though it is not one of the origionals. Heres a good tip. Sign up on Shaker Run's email list. Periodically, they send out discounts to fill in tee times. I would still pay the full proce for this course though.

This review is not for their golf course (which of the little I saw looked great) but rather for their service as an event holder. Shaker Run is where my wife and I held our wedding ceremony and reception, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Ohio area.
The place is great for a wedding because you can hold both your ceremony and reception there. The pavilion is a great building surrounded in windows that gave a great view of a large pond and trees turning bright orange and yellow for the fall. It's just a short walk away from the main hall which is where we held the reception. Our wedding had around 200 guests and fit all of them comfortably. I'm told the place can hold around 300 if needed.
As our wedding planning was occurring, Shaker Run did a great job of meeting our needs and providing helpful tips as well. During our reception, Julie the event planner, came up to us and said the sunset outside was gorgeous and we should get a photo. That really impressed me. I was also told by our guests that the drinks were quite alcoholic and the waitstaff was very pleasant.
I was glad to use Shaker Run for our special day and recommend it to anyone in the Ohio area.
