Hands down the BEST fish n chips in the city, even better than old bag o nails. Great place to be pre and post Blue Jacket games (should the NHL have a season...) Everything is authentically Irish and imported, it has a great laid-back, confident atmosphere. Staff is friendly with good service. There's nothing quite like a Guiness and a basket of fish n chips here... definitely a great place to be.
Pros: Fish n chips, Beer, Ambience
Cons: can be crowded -

O'Shaughnessy's has managed to achieve an environment where people in suits are as comfortable as those in jeans. I originally stopped in because of the great location and continue to go for the authentic and addictive comfort food, the salmon is wonderful too and a bit on the lighter side. Tons of great beers on draft, beautiful rich atmosphere, what more could a city dweller ask for?
Pros: accomodates groups

First of all, this Pub attracts the typical Arena District crowd. A bunch of "trendy" people sipping Bud Lights and pretending they are in Ireland.
If you are coming here don't be a wuss, order a Guinness or the house Porter. The food was better than average but not really worth the high price. The fish-n-chips was pretty good but my Guinness BBQ Chicken was a little dry.
O'Shaughnessy's, like many other Irish pubs (Brazenhead) seem to think it is necessary to build the bar in Ireland and ship it over here, then pass the costs to the customers. I guess it is worth it for an authentic atmosphere.
