I had watched golfers play at Riverside from the highway on my way home for a year or so before I decided to play. The course is very challeging because of all the bends and turns but it is a good challenge because it makes you a better golfer. The greens and fairways are nice and well kept but it does hold water after a rain and makes for a wet putt. The fees are actually very good for such a good course. My advice is to rent a cart at this one.

Riverside golf course is a great place to play golf. The course is well kept up. They do a great job on the landscaping. The rates are pretty competitive with other courses in the surrounding DFW area golf courses. The greens are scenic and the holes are challenging. It's a great place to play. If you live in the Riverside appartments they give you a discounted rate on golf lessons. I haven't done this, but I have heard that they do a good job with the lessons.

I played my first tournament here. I was impressed by how professional the course was maintained. As for the layout, it's a nightmare for those (like me) that don't hit straight.
