• Brock Park Golf Course ()

  Welcome to Houston's “Best Kept Secret." Brock Park is quietly tucked into the northeast area of Houston, far from the noise, but less than 20 minutes from downtown.
  Brock Park is managed and maintained by Houston Parks and Recreation Departments golf operations division staff. This tree-lined course has been one of the City's fine muni courses since 1972. Brock plays to 6427 yards, and the elevation changes are unlike most courses in the area. Brock combines risk and reward on many holes, and requires good shot selection and execution on others. Greens Bayou comes into play on four holes, and creeks cross four others. Good scores can be found at Brock, provided you stay out of the trees!

  Recent improvements at Brock include a new full course irrigation system. If you haven't been out recently, the first thing you will notice is the greatly improved fairway conditions. A new fleet of electric golf cars also arrived in late 2003. A driving range is available for practice or warming up. Additional practice areas include a putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. The pro shop staff is available for lessons. Tee times are available on weekends and holidays.

• Gus Wortham Park Golf Course ()

  Gus Wortham Park golf course is situated along Brays Bayou in the south central area of Houston. The course is now managed and maintained by City of Houston golf operations staff, following many years of private management.

  Gus Wortham provides challenges not regularly found in Houston. Elevated tees and uphill carries to greens make you use all your clubs. The course is relatively wide open, making it attractive for all levels of golfers. The front nine features three consecutive par five holes, two of which you may want to go for in two. Your shot- making skills will be tested on several of the "short but challenging" par fours. Playing to as much as 6400 yards, Gus Wortham is a fun course located only minutes from downtown.

  Recent improvements include renovated bunkers and a new fleet of electric golf cars. A full driving range is available for practice or warming up. Additional practice areas include a putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. The pro shop staff is available for lessons. Tee times are available on weekends and holidays.

• Sharpstown Park Golf Course ()

  Welcome to Houston's "Best Golfing Value." Sharpstown Golf Course has earned this reputation by providing outstanding customer service and excellent facility conditions, while offering some of the lowest fees in the gulf coast area.
  Recent improvements at Sharpstown include new cart paths, improved drainage, and reconstructed bunkers, tees and lakes. A new fleet of electric golf cars also arrived in 2008. The 18 hole, par 70 course has implemented four (4) sets of tees, allowing moderate degree of difficulty for the novice and beginner, yet enough length (6660
  from the back tees) to test the avid and skilled player.

  Sharpstown's amenities include a driving cage for practice or warming up, two (2) putting greens, a chipping green, full service pro shop, café and beverage cart, and golf professionals who are available for lessons. Tee-times are available on weekends and holidays.
