We stayed here Christmas night between stops between family. It is freeway adjacent which was convenient and they took special note to mention the steps taken to drown out freeway noise in the rooms. Plus they provided earplugs, eye masks and sound machines for super sensitive sleepers. There was a very nice bar/lounge on the ground floor but we were too exhausted to partake. We would definitely stay here again!

I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza many times after our corporate contract people added it to a list of approved hotels. I originally wanted to stay there for the Priority club points but now I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The rooms are fine; I never had any trouble with road noise even though you're literally on top of hwy 91.

Breakfast is fantastic. Staff is always helpful, and now the lounge is newly renovated and beautiful. And to top it all off, it's not terribly expensive.

We had 2 double rooms on the 3rd floor, north side of the tower. Some freeway noise and pool noise, but not bad. Our rooms were perfect, the beds were new and amazing. The shower/bath was clean, new tile and all shined up, good pressure and constant temperature. The website advertised microwaves which was incorrect and according to management will be corrected by webstaff. The in-room coffee & condiments were typical, nothing special. We did the breakfast plan and enjoyed a well-served breakfast in their restaurant. Great coffee down there, fresh fruit and oatmeal bar was good, can order eggs (avoid the scrambled...) and meat and potatoes, juices from waitstaff. All very nice, definitely a cut above the breakfast room buffets of hotels of same price range. Front desk management was very responsive to some special requests.

My dad used to make me scrambled eggs as a kid and I wasn't allowed to leave the table until I finished them so I'd be there for hours or I'd excuse myself to the restroom and spit them out and flush them. (thus my distaste for breakfast and a majority of chiefly egg products).

I was a bit cranky (low blood sugar ;)) so my boyfriend took me to IHOP. From the outside it looks a bit tiny, but when we were in there it was cozy. I didn't think we would get a seat but we did as soon as we walked in. There was a breakfast frenzy of pancakes and omelettes and coffee among the patrons and ants. Although it was crowded we still felt in our own little world.

Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, I wish I could've remembered her name, it started with an M. We ordered coffee and I like how they give you your own pitcher instead of having the staff refill it all the time. I was torn between strawberry french toast, fruit crepes, and strawberry banana pancakes. I chose the pancakes and they came with hashbrowns, eggs, and bacon. DELICIOUS. The pictures make it mouthwatering and it was! My boyfriend, a big fan of omelletes, got the country fried steak platter with biscuits, egg, and omelette with three pancakes. The omelette was pretty good; the cheese and pepper and sausage blended in like notes of a good song.

I am now a big fan of breakfast. We're going back to try the big bacon omelette, strawberry banana french toast, garden stuffed crepe, and banana caramel cheesecake. Can you tell I'm hungry?

I 'v been to a couple of IHOP's in different areas, but none of the can beat the IHOP in Garden Grove. Not only is the food delicious. The service is wonderful here. Weekend mornings it gets crowded about a 20 minute wait, not bad. Once you enter you're greeted by this wonderful manger. A short guy with a big smile. Very nice and helpful. You can see him doing a little of everything to help his employees. So service will run smooth and it works. The service is wonderful the waiters and waitresses are attentive and they make sure you have everything you wanted to enjoy your meal. The manager and most of the employees have been working there for years. You can tell they enjoy what they do. I always leave full from my favorite German pancakes and happy because I had great service.

This little salon is the best kept secret in L.A. Located in the charming city of Covina ( about 25 minutes from downtown L.A., take the 10 FWY east), it on a side street off Citrus street.

The atmosphere is a classic, simple and relaxed designed. A small chandelier hangs over the check in desk, which is situated between two cream colored pilars. The burgundy walls provide a good contrast, and the dark hardwood floors add class.

My stylist is Sabrina- who is the consummate professional- She is down to earth, friendly, courteous and one of the most talented stylists that I have ever encountered- she works miracles and with my thick hair, it is very hard to find someone who really knows how to work with it. She is always pleasant to talk to and spoils you- head and neck massage, lemonade or iced tea. the works. AND she is very reasonable - Usually 40-60 dollars, depending on what you do.

My only issue with the salon is the behavior with some other workers- Once, while Sabrina was working on my hair, I couldn't help but over hear a rather blatant conversation that two other girls ( stylists) discussing their activities related to oral sex. I don't judge what you do in your personal time, but I thought it was unprofessional. However, to the salon's credit, a quick dirty look from Sabrina shut them up.

But really, I have been there several times, and each time has been a treat- a wonderful experience. And Ask for Sabrina !

I hadn't cut my hair in over a year. Needless to say, I was very nervous about cutting it all off since it had grown almost all the way to my waist. Lorenzo was awesome! He not only gave me a fantastic cut with a razor, which was a little nerve wracking until you see the final results, but also put me at ease during the entire experience. He gave me the perfect haircut, and also got the color I wanted and the highlights on the very first try. And he suggested I donate all the hair he cut to locks of love for children with Cancer, which I hadn't thought to do until he mentioned it. I was so pleased with the experience that I bought my mother a gift certificate for a cut, color, as well as facials and manicure for her birthday. She loved it too!

I have been a member at Planet Beach for a little over a month now and I can already see a drastic improvement in the quality of my skin. I suffered from bad acne as a kid and after doing the 12 step Lumier facial the scarring has become a lot less noticeable. I would recommend it highly for anyone who has problematic skin. $500. That's how much money I wasted trying to get other mechanics to properly diagnose a problem I had with my truck. My horn used to randomly honk when I was driving on the freeway, which sounds funny, but is actually quite lame when it's your car.

Anyway, I tried the ford dealership in Bellevue. They charged me $100 to tell me I needed a new alarm (for $500)... wrong. Next I tried a few more local places (repeatedly). The local places were friendlier, but I got vacant stares and wild guesses.

Imagine my surprise when I finally got to AA and they guy behind the counter told me exactly what the problem was and how cheap it would be to fix. I was delighted. He wasn't even a mechanic and he diagnosed my problem immediately. Plus the warrantied the work and vacuumed my truck too.

Oil changes are cheap as well. Try them out if you need an honest independent mechanic.

Total Serenity: Chakra Spa has got to be one of the best kept secrets in the South. This place is absolutely wonderful. The owner "Sherry" really makes you feel welcome and has the best hands in town. I would highly recommend this spa as the best in the Memphis, Desoto County area. This comes from a woman who has experienced spas around the world. The only shortcoming is the spa is not a large spa with an area to acommodate the girlfriend day of more than 4.

I always go to Jenny to get my hair done, and she is phenomenal! She makes you feel comfortable, her chit chat is genuine, and she is great at understanding exactly what it is I want.

As for the salon, the interior is very neat and comfortable, and every time I go there is something new and interesting. Mini-facials with the haircuts, aromatherapies, drinks, etc. I got a free parafin dip once when she was running a little behind on her previous client. I go to Accolades every time and love it!

Stanford's Comedy Club

Stanfords was founded by Stanford Glazer in 1975, in Westport, KC's entertainment district in those days.

Craig Glazer, Jeff Glazer and David Naster started comedy in 1979 in the lounge above the famous restaurant. The name Stanford and Sons came from the hit show “Sanford and Sons” starring comic Red Foxx (because the owner of the club's first name was Stanford Glazer and his sons ran the restaurant).

The club exploded onto the national scene in 1981 when Craig Glazer met Robin Williams in L.A., and he agreed to work Stanfords for free to work on his act. Variety in Hollywood wrote about it and the rest is history.

Stanfords became one of the top name clubs in the nation with big names and up comers weekly from all over the nation like Rosanne, Louie Anderson, Sam Kennison, Tommy Chong, Ellen Degeneres, Jerry Seinfeld, Richard Lewis and many more. Recent stars include Pauly Shore, Damon Wayons, Lewis Black and Lisa Lampanelli. Any big name you have heard of has played the club over the last 30 years.

i love it! i have been to this comedy club the last 4 weeks in a row and think its a blast! weds and thurs they have $10 all you can drink bud light and thats what we usually do. it isnt usually crowded those days and quite relaxing on a weds or thurs evening. If you walk in with a positive relaxed attitude you are bound to have a great time! We have also won free tickets every time we have gone! i didnt think that would ever happen but it did and it has become an activity we do every week!
We got our picture with every comedian we have seen, Damon Wayans Jr even!

I paid about $70 for the one night in mid Oct. 09. No breakfast included but the price
was great. The free shuttle picked me up at the airport when I arrived and dropped me off when I departed. I think it left for the airport every hour on the hour and half hour.

i have not stayed at this hotel 3 different times, and each time it has been the best total value of any hotel i have stayed at in chicago. conveniently located near Ohare airport...within walking distance to the EL train downtown...free parking...in room FREE wifi...this is just a super value. I think I paid around $80/ night each time and it features high quality mattress and high threadcount sheets...large rooms with desk and sitting chairs in each one i stayed in. It seems it was recently refurbished maybe or just well maintained. Checkin and out was always easy with very friendly service. Highly recommend for a great priced and value room in Chicagoland

Our Company held a two day meeting for over 100 of our employees and we couldn't have been happier with choosing the Holiday Inn. Alamo Drafthouse

Q: What is the age policy and can you explain it?
A: The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is an 18 and up establishment. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No children under 6 years of age are allowed except for Baby Day or “All Ages, with parent” designated shows. The Alamo Drafthouse caters to an adult clientele and strives to offer an entertaining and mature environment.

Q: What is “Baby Day”?
A: Baby Day is offered every Tuesday during the first show of each film. These show times allow parents to bring their infants, or any children under 6 years old. Baby Day shows are generally not children’s films, rather our regular movies, and are shown with the intention that customers with small children have an opportunity to experience the Alamo without having to arrange for child care.

Admission is free for those under 6 years old. During the movie the lights are left a little brighter and the sound a little lower.

Q: Can my 15-year-old son attend a movie with his 23-year-old sister?

Alamo Drafhouse is the SHIZ!!! The Bee's Knees, the Peanut Butter to my Jelly. I LOVE watching movies here...and having a few beers. The vibe is eclectic, the wait staff are tattoo'd and pierced up...and I LOVE IT! Before the previews start there are weird off the wall clips being played, so I always show up early to watch those as well!

The food is good, and not too expensive... There is not one thing that I don't absolutely LOVE about ADH! I can remember back to when BEER FEST came out...they had their very own BEER FEST...everytime someone in the movie drank...so did the audience...ahhh good times!

Brock Park Golf Course ()

Welcome to Houston's “Best Kept Secret." Brock Park is quietly tucked into the northeast area of Houston, far from the noise, but less than 20 minutes from downtown.
Brock Park is managed and maintained by Houston Parks and Recreation Departments golf operations division staff. This tree-lined course has been one of the City's fine muni courses since 1972. Brock plays to 6427 yards, and the elevation changes are unlike most courses in the area. Brock combines risk and reward on many holes, and requires good shot selection and execution on others. Greens Bayou comes into play on four holes, and creeks cross four others. Good scores can be found at Brock, provided you stay out of the trees!

Recent improvements at Brock include a new full course irrigation system. If you haven't been out recently, the first thing you will notice is the greatly improved fairway conditions. A new fleet of electric golf cars also arrived in late 2003. A driving range is available for practice or warming up. Additional practice areas include a putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. The pro shop staff is available for lessons. Tee times are available on weekends and holidays.

Gus Wortham Park Golf Course ()

Gus Wortham Park golf course is situated along Brays Bayou in the south central area of Houston. The course is now managed and maintained by City of Houston golf operations staff, following many years of private management.

Gus Wortham provides challenges not regularly found in Houston. Elevated tees and uphill carries to greens make you use all your clubs. The course is relatively wide open, making it attractive for all levels of golfers. The front nine features three consecutive par five holes, two of which you may want to go for in two. Your shot- making skills will be tested on several of the "short but challenging" par fours. Playing to as much as 6400 yards, Gus Wortham is a fun course located only minutes from downtown.

Recent improvements include renovated bunkers and a new fleet of electric golf cars. A full driving range is available for practice or warming up. Additional practice areas include a putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. The pro shop staff is available for lessons. Tee times are available on weekends and holidays.

Sharpstown Park Golf Course ()

Welcome to Houston's "Best Golfing Value." Sharpstown Golf Course has earned this reputation by providing outstanding customer service and excellent facility conditions, while offering some of the lowest fees in the gulf coast area.
Recent improvements at Sharpstown include new cart paths, improved drainage, and reconstructed bunkers, tees and lakes. A new fleet of electric golf cars also arrived in 2008. The 18-hole “Paganica” course at the Paganica Golf Course facility in Oconomowoc, Wis., features 6,576 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.0 and it has a slope rating of 116. Designed by Luke Frye, the Paganica golf course opened in 1961. Todd Trausenecker manages the course as the Golf Professional.

This course features tree-lined fairways and water hazards coming into play on seven holes. The signature hole is #4, a 427-yard, par 4, requiring an approach shot that must carry at least 186 yards over water to the green. The greens are average in size and speed, and the fairways are narrow.

I will definitely be a repeat customer. I was completely blown away by their helpful staff and exceptional quality of work.

They are conveniently located across the street from my office in the Metropolitan building and even offer a key drop service. I love the fact that I can get my car washed, waxed and detailed why I work. Drop off in the morning, pick up after work.

The staff is really the reason I will be going back. It's just a bunch of very nice and courteous guys who really do put the customer first; a trait that's becoming rare in the service industry.

Don't expect any fancy office when you visit them - they operate out of a section in the parking garage. But do anticipate a job well done. Kudos to my new friend Rocky and his super staff!

This is a neat little executive course tucked away at the base of Camelback Mountain.

Perfect place for beginning golfers as the forward tee boxes are very short. As executive courses go, this is tougher than most out there.

As it has been said many times before, Mountain Shadows is the best executive (Par-3) course around.

It's in a very pretty setting essentially at the north base of Camelback Mtn. The several holes played around the lake are especially nice.

I played out here Sunday morning for the first time in a couple years and I was rudely reminded about how tough a par-3 course can be when the greens are small, firm, and fast. It makes for a good short game challenge if you're up for it. It's not the walk in the park like Continental or other easy executive courses.

The resort that used to be apart of the complex is closed and shuttered so it's mostly just members of the club playing out here now. The dilapidated buildings don't do much for the ambiance of the area, but they have kept the course looking nice.

Good rates can be found online. It's a fun course, but like other reviewers have said, I wouldn't pay more than the $45 I spent for a 2.5 hour round of par 3s. Overall, I recommend the course to players of all levels for the right price.

At the pro-shop they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of experience with all the great products and very large selection. They have an awesome paintball park in Aurora and have good monthly specials, perfect for the first time player or the seasoned pro. I love this place. It's in a little strip mall but is a very cozy environment. The inside is a great mix of contemporary and classic italian design. The service was tremendous and it seemed like I've been going there for years. I almost felt like I could go back and hang out with the chefs and pick their brain about the food. I had the Cioppino which was great. Their selection of cheese and meats was well done. Great flavor! The grilled bruschetta was fresh and crisp and not soggy like most. The lamb shank was tender. now...the thing that will bring me back.....

BEANS AND GREENS!! Tuscan bean salad or whatever is called. For all of you health nuts, this is a great dish but has amazing flavor. If I knew how to make this, it would definitely be a part of my diet .

This golf club is situated in carys premeer neighborhood of lochmere. The course is typically kept in the best of shape. They also offer very reasonable rates for cary. The staff here is very nice. If you are above average in golf this course maybe too easy for you. Although there are some water hole and sand traps it still doesnt compare to prestonwood.

I have been playing at LVP South for the last few years. I have found that the staff and management have been incredibly helpful and courteous. I love the fields with more than 20+ acres of woodsball, concept fields like the hyperpipe, village, "Boneyard" and Alamo "castle/fort" fields. This facility also has two turfed outdoor airball fields and one indoor airball field.

This is a good car wash, and they do an especially fine job hand-detailing black vehicles, which can get pretty dirty during a slushy Cleveland winter. But the highlight of this place is its mascot, Mr. Magic. You know, the guy on the side of the building with the top hat; you drive past him every day, and you probably think, "Hey, that would make a great tattoo!" If you're downtown and need a wash, go here. Do it for Mr. Magic.

What a deal! $5 buys you a basic exterior car wash. When I stopped in during the afternoon on a weekday, it was crazy packed, with a line of cars. And yet the whole thing took only 5 minutes. Bonus feature is watching your car go through the washing machines; I always loved that when I was a kid, and turns out I still do. All staff from the cashier to the multiple guys toweling your car down at the end were professional, efficient, and friendly.

Mo's was everything we expected and more. I had the Lobster Bisque soup along with the garlic shrimp. The entire meal was excellent. Our waitress was very good, and the assistant was on his game too. We were a group of 8 die hard Yankee fans who travelled over an hour to get to see Mo's Restaurant. After this experience, we will be here more often to enjoy an excellent dinner too. By the way, the pictures and memorabilia were so very nice. I especially liked the stop action picture of Mariano delivering a pitch. We wish only the best to Mariano on this business venture because he gives only the best to his fans.

This eighteen hole course offers greens that are undulating and extremely quick. Spacious sand bunkers come into play on most holes. The fairways are wide and rolling, however, lined with challenging rough areas. Hole #3, a 555-yard, par 5, stands out as the course's signature hole. Unique to the hole is a large, pre-existing boulder that menacingly rests in the middle of the fairway. Par is attainable. Large bunkers line the right of the green, while water guards the left side. Those who overshoot the green to the backside will encounter a sizeable slope

The best municipal course that I've ever played. Course is very well-maintained, even though the greens had patches where the crew had repaired bad spots on them (that's forgivable, though, considering the super-dry and hot summer that they were put through). The par-3s are some of the toughest around, and the par-5s are long. This course penalizes bad shots, as EVERY shot that goes outside of the fairway mounding bounces out of play, either into woods, or high grass. Course is very accessible to I-85. Nice staff and clubhouse, even though $2.50 is too much for a bottle of water. Scenery was excellent, with natural wetlands on one side of the course, and great views and sounds of Lowe's Motor Speedway on the other side. Another great design feature is the huge boulder that sits in the middle of the fairway on the 3rd hole. In all, this is a great course to play.

there is no recovery from very bad shots but the landing areas on most holes are big enough. wetlands surround almost every hole which is why there is no chance for recovery from a very bad shot. fairways are very nice and the greens are also very nice. without a doubt it is one of the better courses in north charlotte. the only downside is that the people at rocky river golf course like their golf course too, you may need a 2nd mortgage.

I had somewhat of an emergency and took my car in due to a flat tire. It took about 90 minutes for them to fit me in, but they fixed it at no charge due to a warranty I had because of purchasing the tires at a Merchants. I was very pleased with this shop. I was impressed with how well an employee handled an irate customer. Though there are two sides to every story, I heard enough to know the customer was way out of line. The employee remained remarkably calm and very professional. Based on what I saw today, I would recommend this shop. I was on the lookout for issues from other reviews and saw no problems here.‎

I personaly liked the way the greens are set up. it is a very fun and challenging place to play, that is if you can play the course. i have tried four times to do a good round of 18. (and this is what was said) first there was a outing set no golf for the public. second the range is closed. third was do to weather, but fourth time was yea you can do 18 just have to play the north 9 twice when i think the fun part of the course is on the south 9. i think for being a public course i have been turned away do to private outings and all to really enjoy everthing in full i have finally played the hole course after a 5 weeks of trying. If you are able to play the course you will be very glad you did. if you can get in...

This course is definatly worth the money. All three courses are excellent. I personally likethis one the most even though it is not one of the origionals. Heres a good tip. Sign up on Shaker Run's email list. Periodically, they send out discounts to fill in tee times. I would still pay the full proce for this course though.

This review is not for their golf course (which of the little I saw looked great) but rather for their service as an event holder. Shaker Run is where my wife and I held our wedding ceremony and reception, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Ohio area.

The place is great for a wedding because you can hold both your ceremony and reception there. The pavilion is a great building surrounded in windows that gave a great view of a large pond and trees turning bright orange and yellow for the fall. It's just a short walk away from the main hall which is where we held the reception. Our wedding had around 200 guests and fit all of them comfortably. I'm told the place can hold around 300 if needed.

As our wedding planning was occurring, Shaker Run did a great job of meeting our needs and providing helpful tips as well. During our reception, Julie the event planner, came up to us and said the sunset outside was gorgeous and we should get a photo. That really impressed me. I was also told by our guests that the drinks were quite alcoholic and the waitstaff was very pleasant.

I was glad to use Shaker Run for our special day and recommend it to anyone in the Ohio area.

I have been going to this spa for over a year now and each time has been wonderful! I have had facials, massage and a spa pedicure. The staff is exceptional and always go out of their way to please. Great service. Very fast. Amazing menu (steak for 9.99 and its good!). Many meals for 7-8 dollars. Food was tasty. The most important reason, however, to go here is their made from scratch strawberry lemonade. This was to die for. I think I had about 7 refills (each time I got close to the bottom I had a new one in my hands in seconds - amazing service). I don't think its well known, but a great place for anyone staying in the Orlando area.‎

May 09, 2009 - Likes it - This restaurant is a true gem. The food is fantastic and the prices are incredibly low for the quality and portion that you get. Live music on the outdoor patio added to the ambiance. I highly recommend O'Charleys.

We went here using a Coke rewards gift certificate. We loved it. The booths are large enough for 8 LARGE adults, they have tables and a bar. Food is very reasonably priced. The ribs are excellent, the steaks are incredible (you can eat them without steak sauce, they're so good) and there is a good deal of variety on the menu. They make a strawberry lemonade (fresh, not from a can) at the bar that is out of this world, and not sold by-the-glass, you get REFILLS! We have been twice now, and will go again soon!
