FAQ:
- Do you serve food? No we don't, but there are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the club
- Is there a Dress Code? Yes, you must wear clothes. Most people dress casual.
- Do you sell Gift Certificates? Yes we do. They come in $20 increments. You can only purchase them in person at the box office.
- Where can I park? Parking in La Jolla is on the street. Although there isn't much competition for nightlife here in La Jolla so it's not difficult to find.
- Can I reserve a table? No, seating is First Come First Served. If you want a specific seat or table then get here right when we open the doors.
- How long do you hold a reservation for a Wed, Thur, or Sun show? We'll hold your reservation until the start of the show. Fair warning though: If you arrive at the club less than 15 minutes before the show starts, we cannot guarantee that your seats will all be together. We will have them inside the showroom, but they will be split up.
- Do I have to drink alcohol as part of the two-drink minimum? No, you do not have to purchase alcohol for the two-drink minimum. It can be juice, coffee, soda, water, whatever you'd like.
- What type of language can I expect? The Comedy Store is an uncensored club. So shows run the gamut from "clean" to "blue."

I have been to The Comedy Store a few times. The crowd has always been medium to large. I typically go to the late show and arrive 20 - 30 minutes before the show starts. It is a two drink minimum but the drinks are good and the waitresses are quick. I avoid sitting on the front row because I don't want to be called out, but if you enjoy the attention get there early. It is comfortable and a great alternative to loud bars!

Some say sex is better the second time around with your lover, but on a serious note my second time here was definitely a climatic experience!
I invited my cuz and her hubby along a double date with my wife and I. We arrived a tab late, but got spilt up inside as being sat with a full crowd. I saw a few acts before Kim T. came on stage.
It was exciting to see my buddy tear it up on stage. Wow, I never have seen her cuss in the professional world but here she was being naughty but funny at the same time.
Kudos to Skye R. for pointing out some returning comics. "PB & STD Dog" Guy is brillant and I didn't mind laughing again at his jokes. I also enjoying the Hollywood guy "with girlfriend" and crazy "MC Hammer" shirt guy for his outstanding performance.
I was rolling so hard my stomach was hurting! My wife was just in the same state, where when we get the most funniest jokes half the crowd don't get them, are insulted or just "slow folks".
I am going to become a regular here. Yeah, it is that funny!

If you are into comedy, then I definitely suggest you go here. They have had a lot of huge comedians come through, and we have been fortunate enough to have viewed some of them. The local comedians that they have perform are also really funny most of the time.
The cool thing about this place is that it's not too large a venue that you feel disconnected, but don't get sat in the front row unless you can take some abuse...we have witnessed a crazy biznatch go off in a fit of rage at another patron during a comedian's routine; totally uncool.
